WELCOME TO SCHLAGWERK IN GINGEN AN DER FILS IN SOUTHERN GERMANY.
We take you to one of the most modern and innovative percussion manufacturers and the Cajon brand with the longest building tradition worldwide.
In addition to our Cajon universe, many Cajon Add-ons, Frame- and Ududrums as well as many other instruments are made in our factory. All our instruments are developed, designed and built here in Germany. Numerous patents & industrial property rights as well as countless awards document our ingenuity since 1982.
Only selected raw material is utilized for the production of Schlagwerk products. Our production is a so-called industrial manufactory, based on experienced manual work enhanced with most modern woodworking technology. Schlagwerk is known for best craftsmanship and highest quality. High-Tech is used, if the product quality or work safety can be improved. At the same time, we are proud to rely on traditional craftsmanship of our highly skilled employees. You can hear and feel that there is a lot of expert manual work in our drums when the instruments sound.
Sustainability is important to us which is why all sanding dust and the smallest wood residues are collected with our high-performance extraction system and used for our own energy supply via a combined heat and power station. Everything revolves around quality: A constant check in all work steps runs through the entire production process. Once the product is finished, things get really serious.Every instrument must face the critical scrutiny of our final inspection. It is played and adjusted here in order to live up to our high-quality promise. To fulfill this promise is not just an expectation it is embedded deep in our DNA. It is at this point where of the passion and skills that go into our instruments become particularly evident.

Cajon la Perù EVO Burl CP4907
The La Perù EVO Burl is made of solid, stained alder in the body, beech back and design veneer playing surface. The playing surface is semi-glued and screwed together for the typical La Perù bass. While the alder body reinforces the controlled bass, the 2x4 snare strings, which are fanned out on the back of the playing surface, produce the rich and ultra-precise snare sounds. All four snare strings can be adjusted separately. These features together make the visually and technically impressive La Perù EVO Burl Cajon an extremely versatile instrument, suitable for any style of music.
Frame Drum Black Dot Ø 24 inch RTS61D
The Frame Drum Black Dot is designed to appeal to both frame drum players and drummers. Distinct basses and controlled muted overtones open up a new world of sound. With the wooden cross and our additionally available drum cross holder RTH10 , the Frame Drum Black Dot can be played as an extension of a drum set with sticks and rods. The Black Dot protects the goatskin.
Like all our frame drums, the Black Dot models stand for an absolutely pure, natural sound. The drums are available in diameters of Ø 60 and Ø 50. They can be tuned using tuning screws integrated within the frame, and allow the subtlest nuances of sound and tone volume.
Log Drum, 10 tones, F-Penta, 60102
One of the most outstanding features of the 10 tone drum, the Original Schlagwerk Log Drum is its versatility. This instrument is tuned to an F-Pentatonic scale spanning two octaves. Virtuosity and joy in experimenting are just what is needed here.
WooDoo Block High WOB13
The Woodoo Blocks high convince with assertive, pithy, warm sounds. Made in Germany from multi-layered birch, they offer the highest quality and durability. The fuzzing produces two different sounds - muted or open. The simple attachment via percussion bracket, on common rods from 8 to 10 mm makes them flexible to use in drum or percussion setups.

A drum, a shaker, world first!
Our Chiadero rethinks tradition. It breaks new ground in frame drum design and bridges the gap between classic frame drums, panderos, dafs, tambourines, and shakers: the Chiadero impresses with its versatility, exquisite craftsmanship, and authentic sound aesthetics—made in Germany. Developed in collaboration with Tomas Millner & Danilo Raimondo.
At first glance, it appears to be a classic frame drum made of multi-layered beech wood, but when played, it reveals its surprising feature— an integrated shaker sound that blends harmoniously with the warm, natural tone of the hand-selected goatskin. This creates a sound spectrum that combines depth, movement, and expression – ideal for solo performances, studio recordings, and live sets.
The drums are available in diameters of 40 cm and 25 cm. The hand-selected goatskins can be tuned using tuning screws integrated into the frame, allowing for the finest nuances in sound and volume.
