About us
klanghabitat – is a German and Swedish-based company that designs unique hardware and software for the music recording industry.
Established in 2022, they found immediate success with their first releases, Cassiopeia & Lyra – a unique design and a new way of achieving tube saturation.
With the release of their 500-series compatible hardware, they also released a software version of their hardware simply called Cassiopeia – available for all popular DAWs including the industry standard Pro Tools, Cubase, Ableton Live and Studio One.
With the release of two brand new products; Cassiopeia & Lyra MKII 2023 we are excited to show the world what we at klanghabitat are working on. Always trying to push the envelope, bringing exciting new hardware & software to recording enthusiasts around the globe.

Cassiopeia
Cassiopeia make use of the “natural” characteristics of vacuum tubes operated in saturation. In other words, these tubes are operated outside their originally designed specifications.

Cassiopeia Plugin
cassiopeia is a stereo tube saturation unit emulating the hardware unit which is designed for the api 500 format. It uses vacuum tubes to generate overtones and harmonics to create a richer and fuller sound. All emulations are strictly reconstructed by the original hardware.
The plugin comes as: (AAX/VST3/AU) for:
• MacOS 10.13 onwards/64 bit (M1 and Monterey native)
• Windows 10/11 64 bit
