PERPETUAL POSSIBILITIES: 

The PERPETUAL VIOLIN (SET MITTEL / SET CADENZA) and VIOLA (SET MITTEL) strings provide the largest sound volume and carrying power combined with a precisely focused sound projection within our range of violin and viola strings. Its vibrant tone attack and optimal string response seamlessly complement Perpetual's sound qualities from extreme fortissimo to the most sensitive whisper.  The Cadenza violin set is characterized by its warm and very deep sound with a great wealth of colors and noticeably easy to play.

The PERPETUAL CELLO strings are characterized by great flexibility and an extraordinary tonal spectrum: from a sweet, warm tone to sheer endless power – everything is possible. The PERPETUAL CELLO string line offers a wide variety of combinations for creating any cellists ideal set-up. Therefore, PIRASTRO has released a sound chart which also includes other brands such as the EVAH PIRAZZI GOLD as well as the PASSIONE steel A & D strings to the palette of PERPETUAL CELLO tones. 

The PERPETUAL DOUBLE BASS strings are available in Orchestra and Solo tuning. They have a tremendous projection and clarity, a powerful and focused low end gives way to a full, sophisticated upper register. Mainly developed for pizzicato, the new PERPETUAL DOUBLE BASS strings are also for arco players looking for a precise and clear tone with a wide variety of dynamics.

EVAH PIRAZZI GOLD strings combine an elegant sound with a great projection through the entire dynamic range. Their clear golden tone, one would normally associate with gut strings, has an impressive power. The design of the individual strings has been so carefully matched to one another allowing for effortlessly smooth transitions from string to string. At the same time EVAH PIRAZZI GOLD strings offer a very short break-in period and an excellent tuning stability.

The golden envelope design shows the epic portrait of a strong woman’s face that is very well known from our green EVAH PIRAZZI string line. EVAH PIRAZZI GOLD strings are available for violin, viola, and cello.

The violin standard set contains a G-gold, wound with pure gold wire, delivering a round and full tone. The alternative G-silver set offers a more brilliant tone. The sets stainless steel E-string is known for its excellent response and generates a refined and smooth sound right to the very top of the register.

Introduced in 2022, the steel core viola set offers tremendously brilliant direct sound with absolutely no metallic harshness. The special processing of the materials allows these steel strings to also provide the player with a large and soloistic volume of sound. The steel core set offers an instant response, a very short break-in time, excellent tuning stability, and is stable against temperature and humidity variations. Violists can now choose between the standard Evah Pirazzi Gold set with the steel A-string and synthetic core D- and G-strings wound with silver and the C-string wound with tungsten-silver, an alternative set offering a C-Rope Core/Tungsten, or the full steel set.

Within the Evah Pirazzi Gold strings family, the cello strings are beloved for their elegant and clear sound. Their steel core provides a variety of overtones with great projection – omitting any metallic sharpness.
While each Evah Pirazzi Gold cello string has its own character, their interplay generates a remarkably harmonious set.

Since its launch at 2000 Musikmesse trade show in Frankfurt PIRASTRO has steadily grown the EVAH PIRAZZI family of products which today also includes strings sets for violin, viola, cello and double bass.

The EVAH PIRAZZI strings for violin are undoubtedly one of our most popular sets. These multi-filament modern synthetic core strings are known for their great volume and incredible projection as well as their complex sound spectrum that is based on a brilliant core sound and rich with overtones. Along with their intense and powerful tone, the EVAH PIRAZZI strings are also very responsive to the finest bow movements which provide a wide dynamic range making them particularly suitable for soloists. In 2020 PIRASTRO has added an EVAH PIRAZZI 5-string violin set to the product line. Their outstanding playability and exceptional dynamic response also make them exceptional for electric violins or violins equipped with piezo-pickups.

Available for viola the EVAH PIRAZZI strings are perfectly adapted to the requirements of soloists and emphasize the individual sound of each instrument with their brilliant and colorful sound. Their advanced synthetic material core, also makes them absolutely insensitive to fluctuations in temperature and humidity.

Unlike the violin and viola strings, the EVAH PIRAZZI cello strings are made using both solid on the A & D as well as stranded on the G & C steel cores. They are available in either the soft (weich), medium (mittel), heavy (stark) or Soloist versions. These different designs offer distinctive tonal variations to help provide the perfect match for you and your instrument. The EVAH PIRAZZI medium is a warmer sounding set than the EVAH PIRAZZI SOLOIST which provides considerably more volume and a brighter sound. The transition between strings on both versions is smooth across the entire set which provides excellent responsiveness and the ability to control the whole dynamic range, from pianissimo to fortissimo.

The EVAH PIRAZZI double bass strings are made with a modern synthetic core. They are offering a powerful, big and dark sound. Their outstanding resonant decay and high torsional stiffness make them an all-round string set: suitable arco and pizz alike. They are available in Orchestra Tuning for both the Medium and Weich gauge sets as well as a Solo Tuning Set.

TONICA strings for violin and viola produce a lively well-rounded sound, perfectly balanced across all four strings. They have a very easy response and playability. Due to their medium string tension Tonica strings are suitable for all instruments and have a core made from nylon.

 With their highly responsive left-hand feel, our TONICA strings remain very easy to play all the way up to the highest positions. They also offer an easy right-hand articulation and tonal attack. TONICA strings are not only a good choice for beginners while advanced players and professionals also enjoy taking advantage of their properties.
